Description
Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep
Writers: Jayson Thiessen, Jim Miller, Scott Sonneborn
Date: July 11, 2015
Synopsis: "Princess Luna sends the Mane Six to find a magical force that turns dreams into nightmares."
Here we have the last episode before mid season hiatus, and it's definitely a good one. Dream type episodes are good because of the creative visuals you get, and this is no exception. Of course, some of the really good dream episodes go above and beyond to explore a person's psyche, like right here. This is essentially the MLP version of Inception. A mysterious force called that Tatarbus invades the dreams of the Mane 6, prompting Luna to investigate what's going on. We look into the Mane 6's psyche for a bit to see how they are, and the dreams are pretty creative. The character who stands out the most is Luna. She's willing to do anything she can to stop the creature while making sure no one suffers. That's pretty cool. It turns out the creature is feeding off her dreams since she can't forgive herself for the Nightmare Moon incident. That's pretty sad, but in a way that works. It helps get across the moral of forgiving yourself. It's a good episode.
