Description
Writers: Mark Banker, Tim McKeon, Ken Daly, John Matta (Duck Dodgers)
Date: October 14, 2005
Synopsis: "The President of Space locks himself in his closet, and the codes to open it must be retrieved from deep inside Dodgers' brain. "
Do you know why I like Duck Dodgers so much? It's because it manages to mix action and comedy really well, like Loonatics Unleashed, but I think this has better. Here's another episode that proves why the show is good. Man O Brain goes into IQ's brain and steals the code to the president's safe. While making his escape, he implants the code inside Daffy's mind, meaning everyone has to go inside to get it back. If you ever wanted to see an animated version of "Inception", this is a good place to start. We essentially get a peak into Daffy's mind, and how he functions as a person. We see he's selfish and has a big ego, which we already know, yet you never hate his guts. I think it's because it's all so overblown that it's comedic. The imagery here is definitely well handled, and we have a nice dynamic between IQ and Man O Brain, as well as good humor and action. As for the ending, it's definitely pretty heartfelt, making this a good episode.
Side Note: Man O Brain and Daffy's childhood bully are voiced by Lewis Black and Taylor Lautner while Loni Anderson makes a cameo.
